Introduction to Website development using HTML and CSS

Grades 4 - 7

In this fun course, students will be introduced to the basics of website development using HTML and CSS. Students will learn basic HTML and CSS commands to make simple web pages. By the end of course students will make small static website using the material learned and will share it with the class.

Prerequisite: No prior programming experience required.

Course Outline

The course will cover the following topics:

-  Introduction to Web development basics, structure of Web pages using markup

-  adding content writing commands inlcuding heading, paragraph and more

-  adding formatting styles like font, color, alingnment, etc

-  Adding links, Images, Tables in web pages

Students will spend most of the time working on programming labs using the content learned.
